What Webobble Custom Bobbleheads Are Made Of

When you order a custom bobblehead, you are not just buying a funny figurine. You are paying for the materials, the sculpting and the finish that determine how it looks and how long it lasts. This page explains exactly what Webobble custom bobbleheads are made of so you know what you are getting.

Polyresin, Not Cheap Plastic

Webobble custom bobbleheads are made from polyresin, a high quality resin material that is widely used for statues, collectibles and detailed figurines.

  • Stronger than basic polymer clays used by some low end makers.
  • Holds sharp details in faces, hair, clothing and logos.
  • Resistant to normal handling when displayed on a desk or shelf.

Polyresin gives a solid, weighty feel that most customers expect from a quality bobblehead. It is not a hollow, lightweight plastic toy.

Hand Sculpted, Not Mass Produced Faces

Every Webobble doll is hand sculpted by an artist using your photos as reference. We do not drop your face into a generic 3D template and call it custom.

  • Our artists build the shape of the face directly in polyresin clay.
  • We focus on the features that make someone recognizable, such as jawline, nose, smile and hairstyle.
  • You receive proofs on most timelines so you can approve or request changes before we move on.

The result is a bobblehead that looks like the actual person, not a random cartoon body with a generic head.

Lead Free Acrylic Paints, Baked On

Once the sculpt is approved, we move to painting. Webobble uses lead free acrylic paints designed for use on figurines.

  • We mix colors to match skin tones, hair and clothing as closely as possible to your photos.
  • Details like eyes, logos, uniforms and small accessories are painted by hand.
  • After painting, the bobblehead is baked to set the paint and improve durability.

Baked acrylic paint gives a smooth, sealed surface that is made for display. It is not a raw, chalky finish that rubs off easily, but it still should be treated as a display piece, not a toy.

Molds and Reorders – How Copies Work

For many orders, we can create an internal mold after your first custom doll is approved. That mold can sometimes be used to make additional copies of the same design for a limited time, usually within about 30 days from when you receive the doll.

A few important points to be clear about:

  • The mold is created for production use and is not guaranteed to last forever.
  • Molds can wear out or break during use, so we cannot promise they will always be available for reorders.
  • If the original mold is no longer usable, a new sculpt or mold may be required and pricing may change.
  • Reorders must match the original design. Any new changes may require a new sculpt.

If you know you will need multiple copies, tell us up front so we can advise the best approach for your project, especially for teams, corporate gifts or events.

Are Webobble Bobbleheads Toys?

Webobble bobbleheads are designed as collectible display pieces for desks, offices and shelves. They are not intended as rough play toys and are not recommended for young children who may drop or chew them.
